DRRR X Reader - Runaway part 3

     You try to pull away from the thug, but the thug tugs on you book bag forcefully. You fall over and get up shaking scared. The thug with the blonde stripe in his hair stands a foot away from you and chuckles evilly. A vending machine lands directly between you and the thug and Shizuo lands on top of the vending machine. "_______, are you ok? I saw you run off when the flea and I were fighting" Shizuo asks jumping down next to you. "IIII…I am scared Shizuo" you reply trembling in place. "Stupid flea" Shizuo grumbles under his breath. He sets you down on top of the vending machine and then sits next to you on top of the machine. He sits there silently and puts his blue sunglasses on. You lean against Shizuo and cry feeling safe and cared about finally. Shizuo gently wraps his arm around you and pulls you close to him a little uneasily.

    You rest your head on his chest wiping away your tears. "Shizuo, thank you for saving me" you say smiling at Shizuo. Shizuo ruffles your hair gently and says "sure." You start to nod off leaning against Shizuo. Shizuo looks out at the street and see a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye. "Was that Izaya? It looked like him" Shizuo mutters under his breath. "What did you say Shizuo?" you ask looking up at Shizuo with a small yawn. "Tch" was Shizuo's reply to your question as he looks at a street light watching the light come on. Shizuo's cell phone goes off and Shizuo opens his phone. He discovers that he has a text message and he reads it. "Izaya" Shizuo growls softly under his breath after reading the message sent to him.

     You giggle at his growl and Shizuo looks at you confused with a frown on his face. "Sorry, Shizuo. Your growl a minute ago was cute" you say smiling at him. Shizuo grunts and looks away from you with a light touch of pink on his cheeks. "Do you have somewhere to stay?" Shizuo asks looking at you. You look out at the road not wanting to think about the reason why you are in Ikebukuro. You then shake your head sadly not saying a word.

     Shizuo sees the saddened look in your eyes and ruffles your hair gently. "The past is gone and over with. It doesn't matter now, you have a clean tab here in Ikebukuro. It is time to start over and enjoy life" Shizuo says softly as he hugs you. You notice that he tensed up a little when he said that the past is gone. "Thank you, Shizuo, you cheered me up" you say smiling at him with a new joyful spark in your eyes. "You're welcome, it is getting dark. Would you like to stay somewhere same and warm tonight?" Shizuo asks. "I would love to, but I have no where to stay" you reply looking at the ground. Shizuo sighs looking at you and mumbles to himself something that you do not catch. "You can come to my home and stay until you are able to live by yourself" Shizuo says jumping down off of the vending machine. "Ok," you reply as Shizuo helps you down off of the vending machine. Then the two of you walk to Shizuo's apartment in silence.


     Once you get into Shizuo's apartment, you lay down on Shizuo's couch exhausted kicking your shoes off. "Thank you, for letting me stay here" you saw with a yawn. "Shizuo nods his head taking his vest and tie off. He then sits down on a metal stool next to the couch. "_____, why were you with Izaya?" Shizuo asks looking at you and growls through gritted teeth. "He took me to his home, when I was asleep in the park. He gave me these clothes I'm wearing and took me to breakfast. Even though he did all those things I don't trust him at all he makes my skin crawl. Why do you ask?" you reply. Shizuo starts to laugh leaning over on his stool. "So the flea does not trick you too, does he annoy you?" Shizuo asks laughing. "Yes, he does. I just wanted to find a peaceful place to take a nap and I woke up in a strange place with that flea as you say. It's getting late and I am tired. Shizuo, can I get some sleep? I'll talk to you in the morning" you say yawning. "Sure," Shizuo says getting up off of the stool and goes to his room with a smile on his face. "Today was an interesting day, but I enjoyed it. Shizuo is so cute, handsome, strong and nice. I heard someone say that he was scary, but he isn't" you think to yourself falling asleep on the couch.
